Mikawachi blue-and-white porcelain vase with finely drawn landscape of mountains, trees, and a waterfall. Beautifully conceived design by one of the best living masters of the Mikawachi style. Of particular notice is the expert use of light to dark shading in the cobalt pigment, the bold centrality of the waterfall, and the suggestion of a moon. Signed on the bottom: Sadaemon-gama 貞右衛門窯.
