Naga056 Korean Taoist hat bowl

Korean, possibly late Yi Dynasty, blue and white porcelain, in a design of a hat, yin-yang Taoist symbol, and two reversed ideograms which sometimes indicate the chapter from The Tale of Genji entitled Hana Chiru Sato (Lady from the Village of Falling Flowers), but somehow here I think the symbology refers to Korean geomancy of some sort. The border rim is in the design of karakusa, Chinese vine. The top rim is fluted. The reverse carries a design of takokarakusa, tentacled Chinese vine. The piece has three cracks which have been repaired, indicating that the piece has too much value to have been discarded. There is no signature of any sort. Date? Guessing 1850 or thereabout. The shape is slightly oval. Top rim at widest point:19 cm. bottom rim: 6.5 cm. height: 9 cm.
