Naga096 Red patterned ware

Chinese example of what the Japanese call akae or red patterned ware. This is probably wucai, Chinese five-color overglaze porcelain, in the design of peonies and grasses. Reverse carries a stylized design of grasshoppers. No sign or mark. Possibly 19th century. Top diameter: 21 cm. Bottom diameter: 12 cm. height: 3.2 cm.
