Naga112 Pair of Mikawachi fan shaped bowls

Pair of Mikawachi bowls in an Oribe ware type of color and design, but with a mixture of porcelain clays. From the Somei Kiln (See also #067 and #111) Bowls are fan shaped with an interior design of herons over a river, completed by what may be a catfish inside, and a circle design outside. The base of the bowls have three attached feet, and an incised mark of Somei 宗明. Length of bowl from fan tip to tip: 18 cm. Width of bowl to the fan center: 12.8 cm. Height: 4.8 cm.
