Naga176 Chinese landscape plate

An unusual flat plate of Chinese origin, probably Jingdezhen iAof unknown date with a wonderfully executed landscape of mountains, a lake with pavilion, a boathouse with oarsman, several fishermen, and two farmers. Two mandarins in long sleeves can be sound in and around the pavilion. A scene typical of the lake area to the East of Shanghai. All hand applied blue-and-white of the finest quality. Has an unfortunate crack in the glaze from the time of firing, as well as triple crack marks sustained afterward. No signature. Diameter 21.5 cm.
