Naga183 Koimari charger A hand-painted Arita piece in a tripartite design that is known as Koimari in the West. Meiji Era. Old Imari, like this, carry lozenges (three or four) in which red painting predominates. Here blue-and-white is found in the center, that is, applied at the first firing, while the other blue areas, like the red and green, have been applied as overglazes and fired again at a lower temperature. The reverse carries four hand painted rolled scroll designs. Separation of the glaze here is evident. Hard to tell whether this is a practice piece, or a piece of real eold imarif. Diameter 31 cm., back circle diameter 17 cm. Height 4 cm. @ @ @ naga183 Arita plate $28.00 (shipping & packing available) We accept VISA and MASTERCARD See more at Richard Arts
