Naga187 Shochikubai charger 2

Arita inban stenciled plate in the design of shochikubai (pine, bamboo, and plum). Late Meiji Era. The reverse carries a repeated stencil of a single camellia blossom. Has a mark of R and ‘from the’ as in #182 and #185 from this collection, so this is probably from a major firm in Arita such as Koransha or Fukagawa. Here the mark seems more like Kuu or Koo 工、fabricate as well as the ‘Ko’ of Koransha. Diameter 30.5, back circle diameter 20 cm. Height 3. cm.
