Naga197 Bird and landscape charger A large charger from the Shioda area of Nagasaki Prefecture. The stars or circles band, hand drawn around the outer rim of Shioda pieces indicates its origin. The fanciful design includes the elements of landscape (water, mountain, dwelling, rocks), but also a superimposed bird and flower painting of perhaps an onaga magpie sitting on a branch of plum. Not far away are a few chrysanthemums, while on the other side is the spring and early summer scene of a river flowing around a patch of iris. The design even includes a cloud pattern at the upper right. The reverse is hand painted in three designs of plum blossoms. Diameter 45.5 cm., back side circle 28 cm. Height 5.5 cm. 5 kiln stacking marks on bottom. @ @ @ naga197 Shioda charger $110.00 (shipping & packing available) We accept VISA and MASTERCARD See more at Richard Arts
