Naga216 Korean egret celadon vase

Korean celadon vase in a traditional design of white egrets in roundels encircled in black on a ground of clouds and other flying birds. The ring at the bottom of the vase is often seen in Chinese and Japanese pieces from as early as the Yuan Period. The lotus leaf circle at the top is purely Korean. Signature is Shogetsu 松月　Modern.　The design has been known since the Koryo Dynasty and can be seen in many museum pieces. Width at top 16 cm., height 30 cm., width of bottom base 10.5, top opening 4.5 cm.
