Naga311 Japanese Hina Doll noble guardian

Hina Ningyo Dolls used on the Hina no sekku or the third day of the third month, reserved for the celebration of girl children within the family. All of the dolls pictured here belong to the large set of dolls arranged on a stepped platform, beginning with the highest Emperor and Empress at the top, and followed by various other dolls such as Imperial Attendants (women) and the Gonin bayashi, the five musicians. A photo of what a complete set looks like can be found above. This doll is one of the guardians. Height 16 cm., width 16 cm.
