Naga312 Japanese Hina Doll lilac-kimonoed musicians

Hina Ningyo Dolls used on the Hina no sekku or the third day of the third month, reserved for the celebration of girl children within the family. All of the dolls pictured here belong to the large set of dolls arranged on a stepped platform, beginning with the highest Emperor and Empress at the top, and followed by various other dolls such as Imperial Attendants (women) and the Gonin bayashi, the five musicians. A photo of what a complete set looks like can be found above. This pair of dolls is part of the five musicians. Height 17 cm., width 16 cm.
