Naga336 Arita inban pine tree on folding screen plate

Arita blue-and-white stencil plate from the Meiji era, late 19th century. The design is one often seen, that of a landscape, here characterized by the pine tree, on a folding screen, set against a background of stylized flowers and the lozenge design of the paper on the back of the screen. The backside carries three stencils of a persimmon and lozenge with tassels. One kiln stacking mark. No company mark. Excellent condition Diameter 31 cm., back rim diameter 19.5 cm.
