Naga347 Arita, men and landscape bowls

Arita or Mikawachi set of five bowls, hand-painted in blue-and-white, Meiji era, late 19th century. Two figures are seated on a rock ledge in from of a house and a pine tree, while mountains and waterfalls roar behind them. No two are exactly alike, but all are in the same design. The inner rims of the bowls are hand-painted in a Chinese key design. The reverse is a hand-painted nubbed Chinese vine design. No mark, or artist signature. Diameter 14.3 cm, height 4 cm., bottom rim diameter 8 cm.
