Naga348 Arita, landscape soy sauce dishes

Arita or Mikawachi set of 8 small dishes for soy sauce. Meiji era, early 20th century, hand-painted in a design of two flower baskets on a wooden wataribune, small boat used as a ferry. Birds fly in the background of high mountains and two other boats with sails can be seen. The backsides carry a lovely design, hand-painted, of pine needles. The porcelain is thin and of excellent quality with fine, fluted edges. Diameter 11.5 cm., height 2 cm., bottom rim diameter 6.5 cm.
