Naga353 Hasami soba noodle cups 

Hasami modern, hand-painted sobajoko cups, a pair, in the same design of water wheels sprouting small flower pots. The interior rims of the cups are hand-painted in expert lozenges in a traditional style. The lightness of the brush strokes leads me to believe that this artist is a woman. Many women, unnamed, work tirelessly as etsuke or painters. Their native softness and feminity are reflected here in the brush strokes, perhaps even in the design. Top diameter 7.8 cm., bottom diameter 5.3 cm., height 6.5 cm.
