Naga483 Chinese mother-of-pearl plant stand

Chinese table, elaborate mother-of-pearl inlay of scenes of village life. Used as a plant stand or for fine ceramics or other art objects in a formal space. It is possible that tables of this nature were made in Nagasaki in the Meiji period or earlier to satisfy tastes for Chinese objects. Needs cleaning and restoration.
